As part of an ongoing project, CDP team conducted a field visit across several key heritage sites in Central Najd, including Diriyah, Sadus, Al-Hawtah, and Riyadh.

The visit focused on observing and documenting the architectural character of the Najdi region including traditional mud-brick construction, decorative plaster motifs, courtyard typologies, and defensive tower forms. These elements offer valuable insight into how architecture in Najd responded to climate, community life, and cultural traditions.

Such site visits form an essential part of our methodology, ensuring that our design and research work remains rooted in authentic local context while guiding innovative and sensitive future applications.
