The workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the project’s three phases, including its objectives, strategic goals, and methodology, alongside insights into its alignment with the Saudi Architecture Project.
We also explored the results of the third phase study analyzing the current state of urban heritage and presented the Kingdom’s four main architectural styles, with a special focus on the Eastern Coastal style.
Participants engaged in interactive activities designed to deepen understanding of the architectural patterns specific to the Eastern Coastal style, including the urban fabric, building elements and facades, traditional materials and techniques, and regional decorative features.

The workshop highlighted the relationship between these styles and the diverse regions within the Eastern Province, including Al Ahsa, Qatif, Al Khobar, and Dammam, showcasing the richness of Saudi Arabia’s architectural identity and its adaptation to natural, social, and economic conditions.
We thank everyone who contributed their expertise and ideas. Your dedication continues to support the preservation and celebration of the Kingdom’s unique heritage.
